Besides the obvious Clockwork Orange connection, I was struck by the intensity of his gaze, the magic of his bowler hat, the fragility of the sofa he sits on, and the complexity and texture of the background. When I choose paper to put down in my work, I am often surprised by the serendipitous pairing of the image and the papers. It isn't always planned. In fact, one often leads me to the other.
